Why RTD
Institutional capability should not require an institutional relationship.
Banks and large institutions provide capability of real substance — custody, execution, investment products, credit and infrastructure that would be difficult to replicate. Our role is a different one.
We sit beside the client while that capability is used — holding the whole picture, asking the questions, and staying long enough for the answers to matter.
What that means in practice
Relationship continuity
Clients should not have to re-explain their family, their business or their intentions every few years. Continuity of relationship is a service in itself.
Independent judgment
A recommendation should be able to withstand a difficult question. Starting from need rather than from a shelf makes that easier.
Coordination and advocacy
Someone should hold the whole picture, speak to the institutions on the client's behalf, and make sure the parts are working together.
Carefully curated access
Access is chosen deliberately: a smaller number of well-understood relationships rather than an undifferentiated catalogue.
Personal accountability
A named person is responsible. Accountability that has an address is different from accountability that has a process.
Long-term perspective
Decisions are made with the next decade in mind, not the current quarter — for the client and for the firm.
Our principles
Relationship-led
The relationship is central, not incidental. Clients should know who is accountable for them, and that person should know them well.
Independent judgment
Solutions begin with the client need, supported by thoughtful judgment and selective access to appropriate partners and solutions.
Experienced people
Institutional experience delivered through a more personal environment, where judgment is not diluted by process.
Long-term stewardship
Relationships and decisions should endure well beyond any single transaction, market cycle or product.
Start a Conversation
Every relationship begins with a conversation.
If you would like to understand how we work, we would be glad to talk. No presentation, no proposal — simply a conversation.
